Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Tiers

Mark Papazian leverages four decades of experience in family law, commercial litigation, and representation of celebrities to serve as an attorney at Giarmarco, Mullins & Horton. An accomplished lawyer, Mark Papazian also has been recognized as an AV peer reviewed attorney by Martindale-Hubbell.

Founded in 1868, Martindale-Hubbell operates a platform of websites and tools for lawyers and those in need of legal services. Beginning in 1896, the organization implemented two attorney ratings systems: one based on client reviews and one based on peer reviews. The peer review system, which has become a gold standard within the legal industry, includes three tiers.

- AV Preeminent, which is the most prestigious peer rating standard, is awarded to attorneys who have many years of experience and are ranked at the highest levels of professional excellence by a large number of peers.

- The Distinguished rating symbolizes attorneys who have some experience and who are respected by peers for professional excellence.

- Notable, which is the lowest tier but still an honor, indicates recognition by a large number of peers for excellence in ethics.

AV, AV Preeminent, Distinguished, and Notable are certification marks used under license in accordance with the Martindale-Hubbell certification procedures, standards and policies. For more information, visit https://www.martindale.com/ratings-and-reviews/.
